A video posted on Instagram by Portuguese socialite Lili Canecas revealed that the property, referred to as Pharaoh Ronaldo’s Pyramid by locals, is still far from being completed, resembling a construction site. The sheer size of the mansion has become a point of concern for neighbors, who compare it to a hospital due to its massive proportions. The construction work has caused disruptions in the neighborhood, with streets closed for months and gardens becoming dusty.
Initially estimated to cost £10 million, the project’s budget escalated to £17 million and eventually reached a staggering £28 million. Besides the alleged poor condition of the mansion, neighbors are also worriedaout their privacy being compromised, as the house is too open and visible from various points in the Quinta. The mansion’s height allows views into many neighboring gardens, and it is surrounded by a golf course that Ronaldo reportedly attempted to purchase without success. These concerns have added to the discontent among locals regarding the Pharaoh Ronaldo’s Pyramid.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s property is set to feature an impressive addition—a large glass swimming pool with an underwater bridge. The 38-year-old football legend is reportedly searching for a spacious 1,000-square-foot master bedroom in what is believed to be Portugal’s most expensive housing development.
Ronaldo’s representatives were approached for comment on these plans.
Apart from his potential new property, the Portuguese star already owns several luxurious residences. In Turin, Italy, he has a gorgeous villa, and in Madrid, he possesses a £4.8 million mansion located within a gated fortress estate called La Finca, which he acquired during his time at Juventus.
In his birthplace of Funchal, Madeira, Ronaldo also owns a seven-story apartment building. Previously, he had a property in Cheshire up for sale, with a price tag of over £5 million. This magnificent estate, nestled in the exclusive area of Alderley Edge, features seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, a tennis court, a pool, and a movie theater. When marketed by the estate firm Jackson-Stops for £5,500,000, it was described as a “masterpiece in modern design set in 23 acres—an ultra-stylish main residence with superb leisure suite, a two-bedroom guest barn, and a padel court.”
